In response to an earlier question… here is a copy of our EDP but the best place to read between the lines is at your favorite Yamaha dealership.

Was just wondering why a deposit is required on the 15 of April which is a Sunday when the Montreal show is on the 13 and the Otttawa show is on the 15. Most dealers I know close early on Saturdays and are closed on Sundays.Could’nt Yamaha give an extra week or so as personally I would like to see the sled in person before putting down a deposit, Thanks
…I spoke with our National Sales Manager on this one this morning based on your question. Couple of things. Our factory needs our dealer orders by end of April in order to have enough lead time for all the parts vendors involved to meet manufacturing deadlines (I’ll cover a bit more on this in another post). Our dealers base their orders largely upon the success of the spring deposit program. It is a good indicator of model interest and potential sales. We need a clear cut-off date with few exceptions. We will allow customers to change colors and model variations after the deposit date. Please speak with your dealer if you have a concern, (never met a sales guy who would not make a deal if they could) Chances are, if you make a deposit on Monday after the show we would, cough, cough, more than likely accept it… thanks for asking cr
